Golf and Formula 1 might not have too many similarities on the surface, but that might be about to change with the latest announcement from TaylorMade.

The golf equipment giants today announced that they’ll be teaming up with Red Bull Racing, the team behind this year’s title winning F1 car, to bring us a limited-edition collection of golf gear.

Titled the “Speed Craft Collection,” the range will include products inspired by this year’s RB19 car, as well as the team’s race suits.

Headlining the collection is a special edition version of the Stealth 2 Plus driver, the club which features the most carbon of any TaylorMade offering, which will incorporate the Red Bull car’s iconic dark navy and red colour scheme.

While you might not associate golf’s more pedestrian pace of play with the fastest cars on the planet, there is a connection, that being the material used in both TaylorMade’s drivers and F1 cars: carbon.

This material allows the Stealth 2 to perform at its best, with carbon on the club face, while it allows F1 cars to achieve the best possible aerodynamics.

As well as a limited edition driver, we’re going to see a new putter, the Oracle Red Bull Racing Spider GTX putter. Again, this will be decked out with Red Bull’s classic colour scheme.

Along with the clubs on offer, we can expect a range of accessories including towels, tees, balls and even a line of apparel, ranging from hoodies to bucket hats.

While Max Verstappen, Red Bull‘s No.1 driver and newly crowned 2023 champion, isn’t a golfer, his teammate, Sergio Perez is said to be a player, reportedly playing off a handicap of 18. He’s certainly not the only F1 driver to take up the game either, with Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz both keen players.

David Abeles, TaylorMade President and CEO said: “As two leading forces in our respective arenas, TaylorMade and Oracle Red Bull Racing share a common passion for pushing boundaries and pursuing excellence.

Just as Oracle Red Bull Racing develops the ultimate vehicle for their drivers Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez, TaylorMade builds technology-driven golf equipment for our tour players and amateurs alike.”

Meanwhile, Oracle Red Bull Racing Team principal and CEO Christian Horner said: “We are excited to announce our partnership with TaylorMade and kick things off with the new collaboration: we have put our own unique stamp on the collection and merged elite sport performance and lifestyle.

“We share our core principles with our new partner, by both prioritising high performing athletes at the top of their game and innovation in design. We are excited to bring this collaboration to fans worldwide.”

The collection is set to launch on October 17, on TaylorMadegolf.co.uk, to coincide with the USA Grand Prix. However, expect these products to sell quickly, so if you want one, be quick.
