After making the trip over to St Andrews for the 2015 Open Championship, Palmer participated in the Champion Golfers’ Challenge and here he is pictured acknowledging the crowd on the 18th green. Paul Lawrie, who was in his team that day, said: “It was unbelievably cool. “To be out there with him – I absolutely loved it. He gave me a wee hug when I holed my putt at 18 and said ‘fantastic playing’. That was a nice moment for me.”
