Nick Bachem
A relatively unknown name to most, Nick Bachem enjoyed an impressive amateur career and looks set to follow suit in the professional ranks.
The 24-year-old German’s stock is rising thanks to a breakthrough season on the DP World Tour, which included a win in March.
His results have been quite volatile overall, but has shown his upside in top-ten finishes at the Czech Masters and Irish Open.
Averaging almost 320 yards off the tee, Bachem ranks fourth for driving distance on the DP World Tour, and that could be a valuable asset at the monstrous Bethpage Black.
With a debut, Bachem would become the first German to wear blue and gold since Martin Kaymer last represented Europe in 2016.
