Bushnell Golf enjoyed a week of dominance at the 144th Open Championship as 96% of caddies and 93% of players used Bushnell rangefinders to help in their preparation for tackling the Old Course.
The results marked the company’s continued growth across all levels of the game and is a significant improvement on figures seen at last year’s Open Championship at Hoylake, where 83% of caddies and 90% of players used Bushnell products*.
"The results do not come as a surprise to us" - Ghislain Mautin
“The results of this survey clearly illustrate Bushnell’s product superiority in the market and domination on Tour,” said Ghislain Mautin, sales & marketing director at Bushnell EMEA. “Even though these results exceed last year’s impressive count, they do not come as a surprise to us, as each year, the best players in the world rely on our commitment to innovation and excellence to help them prepare to face world-class competition each week.”
One of those players who relies on Bushnell is world No.6 Rickie Fowler, winner of the Players Championship and Scottish Open this year, and in the video below he takes on a Bushnell yardage challenge with his caddie Joe Skovron.
The figures from the Open and other major events this year demonstrate Bushnell’s continued commitment to providing the ultimate in laser rangefinder technology, with the flagship Tour X JOLT launched earlier this year. With its breakthrough Exchange Technology and market leading accuracy, it is said to be the perfect tool for tournament preparation for the world’s best golfers.
Speaking about the Tour X, Mautin said: “This year, the introduction of the Tour X, with Exchange Technology, made our domination increase by three points amongst players and 13 points amongst caddies.”
The Tour X JOLT was launched to tour professionals earlier in the year at the BMW PGA Championship, where European Tour representative Brian McConnell introduced the new product, which received unanimous praise.
