Henrik Stenson shot arguably the best final round in major history to lift the Claret Jug for the first time at Royal Troon.

In an incredible duel with five-time major winner Phil Mickelson, the Swede showed nerves of steel throughout his round to post 63 – which included ten birdies and two bogeys – and his peers couldn’t believe what they were seeing as the duo finished 14 and 11 shots clear respectively of J.B. Holmes in third.

Phil played all four rds under par, including a 63 and a final rd 65, and STILL LOST BY 3! That was incredible. This Open was won, not lost.
