The DP World Tour returns for the penultimate event of its Asia Swing at the ISPS Handa Championship in Japan.

In just the second staging of this event, the ISPS Handa has moved to Taiheiyo Club Gotemba Course, which enjoys incredible views over the iconic Mount Fuji.

It’s some destination for the European-based circuit’s first tournament in four weeks after the Indian Open.

And the event, which is co-sanctioned by the Japan Tour, will feature names including South African legend Ernie Els and multiple DP World Tour winners Rafa Cabrera-Bello and Christiaan Bezuidenhout.

Meanwhile, ISPS Handa ambassador Matthieu Pavon will make his return to the DP World Tour. Pavon won on his debut season over on the PGA Tour at the Farmers Insurance Open earlier this year and will be among the leading contenders in Japan.

Lucas Herbert, who defeated Canadian Aaron Cockerill in a playoff in last year’s event, will not be back to defend his title following his move to the LIV Golf League.

Takumi Kanaya 20/1

Kanaya, a former world No.1 amateur, has already won on this course in the Taiheiyo Masters on the Japan Golf Tour back in 2019. The 25-year-old has emerged as a prolific winner on Japan’s premier circuit and won his last event at the Token Homemate Cup. He loves the course and could be about to emerge as a breakthrough DP World Tour winner.
