Masters preview

It’s a welcome return to action for the DP World Tour this week, with the ISPS Handa Championship.

It’s the first time the tour has been to Japan, as the event was scheduled to be part of the rota last year, but due to restrictions, was a Japan Tour only event.

The tournament is designed to deepen the ties between the DP World Tour and the JGTO, and there’s a lot of local representation in the field.

There’s a return to competitive action for some of the DP World Tour’s bigger names with the Højgaard twins, Rafa Cabrera Bello and Robert MacIntyre all set to tee it up. The Scot has said that he’s aiming to bring a new attitude to his golf this week, in an effort to “commit to what you are doing and not worry about it. Just commit to every shot and hope it’s good.”

ISPS Handa has supported lots of events on the circuit, including tournaments in Wales, Northern Ireland and Spain.

Here’s the full ISPS Handa Championship preview.

Yannik Paul

Last year, the winning score was 24-under-par, and with a deeper field this time around, expect more low scoring. One man who isn’t afraid to make a load of birdies is Yannik Paul. The German is a combined 33-under-par for his last eight rounds, finishing second twice in his last two outings.
