Former world number one Justin Rose has re-united with ex-caddie Mark Fulcher ahead of the Ryder Cup.

Just two weeks before the biennial battle in Rome, the 43-year-old has once again called upon the services of the popular looper, according to the Telegraph.

With Fulcher on his bag, Rose won at the Olympics, became world number one, lifted the U.S. Open title, and edged Phil Mickelson in their epic Ryder Cup duel at Medinah in 2012.

Rose, who has played in five Ryder Cups, has had Fulcher by his side each time he has donned blue and gold.

After 11 years together, the pair split as Fulcher underwent emergency heart surgery.

It was feared that the Englishman would not return to caddying, but he has after stints with Francesco Molinari and Billy Horschel.

Having parted ways in 2019, one of the duo’s last events was the 2018 Ryder Cup at Le Golf National in France.

Rose starred in that Team Europe victory, winning two points for his side, and the 11-time PGA Tour winner will hope that the re-union can spark a similar outcome.

Fulcher is well-regarded among the European ranks and is a highly popular figure in the team room, as well as a friend of European captain Luke Donald.

His first task after re-uniting with Rose was to accompany him at Marco Simone on Europe’s scouting mission on Monday.

But their welcome back party will take place at Wentworth this week, as Rose and Fulcher team up at the BMW PGA Championship.

Fulcher won the DP World Tour’s flagship event with Horschel in 2021.

All 12 of Donald’s men are competing in the Rolex Series event, while Rose is set to tee off alongside teammates Robert MacIntyre and Matt Fitzpatrick.
