Membership Offer - Cowglen Golf Club

Cowglen

Founded in 1906, Cowglen is a wonderful club five minutes from the centre of Glasgow on the city’s south side.

The 6,105-yard, par-70 course, redesigned by five-time Open champion James Braid, boasts outstanding greens and views over Glasgow, the Clyde Valley and Campsie Hills.

Line selection is vital on many holes due to the strategic placing of copses on the course.

This is most evident on the 344-yard par-4 fourth hole – the toughest on the course. Here, there is such little margin for error off the tee as the shot requires to be positioned between the branches of a large tree on the left and a bunker on the right.

Cowglen offers a wide variety of membership options, including the quite brilliant and innovative Junior+ category, which costs just £100. Here, Junior+ members can nominate up to two adults and the nominated adult(s) will be allowed to play the course for free while playing with the junior.
