The Chinese 23-year-old is finishing the year the way he started it – on blistering form. The winner of the Dubai Desert Classic in January, Li’s season sagged in the middle, a tie for 16th (US Open) the best he could manage between February and the end of September. However, his last European Tour starts, dating back to the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, have yielded impressive results: T5-T9-T11-2. That runner-up finish came at the Turkish Airlines Open last week, where he lost out to Justin Rose in a play-off. A man to watch this week, for sure.
