Nedbank Golf Challenge 2023 prize money payout in full

Max Homa stormed to his first professional win outside America as he claimed a four-shot victory at the Nedbank Challenge in Sun City.

Homa, who was playing his first competitive golf since the Ryder Cup, posted a final round 66 on Sunday to hold off Danish duo Thorbjorn Olesen and Nicolai Hojgaard at Gary Player Country Club.

The 32-year-old Californian had a one-shot overnight lead, but was caught by Olesen, who was making an early charge.

Olesen made six birdies in his outward 31 to pile the pressure on Homa, but the world number eight responded with an eagle on the ninth to resume control, with birdies on 15 and 16 ensuring a comfortable walk down 18 for the new champion.

Meanwhile, Homa’s victory also means that Rory McIlroy will lift his fifth Race to Dubai crown next week, as he cannot be caught by his nearest challengers Jon Rahm or Adrian Meronk in the season-long race.
