The Ryder Cup might be a week away, but fans of the biennial match will see a familiar sight on TV this week.
That’s because the Open de France returns on the DP World Tour, staged by 2018 venue Le Golf National.
Team Europe triumphed by a wide margin there, but the star attractions this week come in the way of some international stars.
Min Woo Lee and Tom Kim have committed to continental Europe’s oldest national open, which inaugurated in 1906.
America’s Billy Horschel will stay on this side of the Atlantic to compete, too, after playing at the BMW PGA Championship last week.

The tournament was formerly a Rolex Series event and was used as an Open Qualifying Series event in 2014-2018.

Open de France betting tips
Here’s who the bookies fancy to shine this week…
Joohyung Kim 10/1
Min Woo Lee 12/1
Ryan Fox 14/1
Aaron Rai 16/1
Alexander Bjork 18/1
Thomas Detry 20/1
The bunkered bet
Yannik Paul 28/1
It would be somewhat fitting for the man who just missed out on the Ryder Cup to win at a Ryder Cup venue the week before the showdown gets underway. Paul looks good value, too. Le Paris National rewards accuracy from tee to the green and the German makes minimal mistakes. He finished tied eighth on his debut in this event last year and can capitalise on a weaker field to claim his second DP World Tour win.
