If you’re a car lover, you might want to look away now.
Cast your mind back to 2018, and Patrick Reed’s win at the Masters. The American star, who now plays on the LIV Golf League, treated himself to a plush limited-edition Porsche 911 GT2 RS to celebrate his victory.
Porsche only made a handful of these cars, and the one that arrived on Reed’s driveway was particularly special.

Great to be back in Hamburg, Germany for the Porsche European Open! Before I left, I broke in my commemorative Masters GT2RS! Excited to play the next three events on the @EuropeanTour. #PEO @KLMOpen, @BMWPGA #1of1 pic.twitter.com/SP5XGIzJcb

As Porsche’s fastest street-legal car, this is a machine not to be messed with, and it looks like whoever was behind the wheel of it most recently, found that out the hard way.
As first reported by Copart, the car which is seen here, matches the description of the car which the 32-year-old flaunted after his first major win. More digging revealed that the car has a serial number which exactly matches that of Reed’s. Unless someone has cloned the car, it used to belong to the golfer.
It’s safe to say neither Reed, nor anyone else for that matter, is likely to be adding to the 360-odd miles on the clock.
The car appears to have been in a crash, where the entire front of the supercar has been destroyed, as well as some of the rear. The front window of the car is also destroyed, with the rear spoiler missing.
According to the initial report, the wreckage could still be valuable, as the engine, located in the rear, might still be in decent shape. Everything else in this luxury Porsche, by the looks of it, is a write off.

The wreckage of the car, which had an estimated value of around $500,000 sold earlier this week from a scrapyard in Houston, Texas.
Right now, Reed is in Singapore preparing for the fifth LIV Golf event, where he’ll be hoping to build on his third place in last week’s Adelaide event.
