Ras Al Khaimah Championship 2024 prize money payout in full

Thorbjorn Olesen stormed to his eighth DP World Tour title with a convincing six-shot victory at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship.

The Danish star, who has secured his PGA Tour card via his Race to Dubai ranking last year, has taken full advantage of starting his season closer to his new home in the UAE.

He lost his overnight four-shot lead on Sunday, but then romped home in 33 shots to close with a final round 67 and finish six clear of his nearest challenger Rasmus Hojgaard.

Olesen claimed a cool $425,000 winner’s cheque from a $2.5m prize purse up for grabs in the Middle East.

The 2018 Ryder Cup player said: “I played some nice golf coming in and holed the right putts at the right time. To win was a goal and it was nice to get that here, especially being here at my new home.

“It’s always a place I like to come to, not just for golf but for holidays. It’s a great place and I’m really happy that I could get a win here.”
