Tiger Woods is leaving no stone unturned in his bid to be fit for next week’s Masters – and according to one report in the US, that includes taking a vow of abstinence!
The New York Post claims that the 15-time major champion has imposed a sex ban on himself as he looks to arrive at Augusta National in peak physical condition.
The newspaper quotes ‘a friend’ of the 48-year-old as saying: “He’s focused. He’s working really hard in the gym. He’s eating right. He’s even eliminated sex.
“He does that now when he’s preparing: no sex until the tournament is over. He doesn’t want anything to take away his focus.”

Woods is understood to be single following the break down of his relationship with former girlfriend Erica Herman last year.
Five times a winner of the Green Jacket, Woods is expected to make only his second start of the season at The Masters.
His previous outing, at the Genesis Invitational in February, ended prematurely when he withdrew after only six holes of his second round.
A dose of the flu was subsequently given as the cause of his early exit but concerns over his fitness resurfaced after he failed to play in either the Arnold Palmer Invitational or PLAYERS Championship last month.

Woods had previously indicated that he hoped to play once a month in 2024 but is already way behind schedule on that front. His most recent known ‘competitive’ appearance was in the star-studded Seminole member-guest event at the start of last month.
Currently listed at 150/1with some bookmakers to win The Masters – the same price as Aaron Wise, Mito Pereira and Stephan Jaeger – Woods will be hoping to maintain his record of having made the cut in every single Masters he has played as a professional, a streak that currently extends to 23 appearances.
The 88th Masters Tournament takes place at Augusta National Golf Club from April 11-14.
