The DP World Tour’s warm weather swing continues this week in Bangkok, Thailand.
The players were in Singapore last week, and the tour even broke protocol by allowing them to wear shorts during tournament rounds, such was the heat in Laguna National.
This week, many of the players will hop on a flight north to Thailand, to a course that has one very recognisable hole, the 17th. We often hear of island greens that aren’t really islands, such as the 17th at TPC Sawgrass, but Amata Springs Country Club is home to a real island putting surface that players will need to access by boat.
The event has been played twice in the past, both times as co-sanctioned Asian and European Tour events. This year, however, it’s solely a DP World Tour event.
The past two winners were both Australian, Scott Hend and Andrew Dodt, however both those wins were at Black Mountain, not this week’s venue.
Let’s take a look at all the details ahead of the week.

Richard Mansell
Coming off a T6 last week, the Englishman’s game is coming along nicely at the moment. He’s made every cut since he featured in the final group at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship back in October.
