The PGA Tour is heading to Palm Harbour as the Florida swing continues this week.

The Valspar Championship, played on the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook, offers another chance for some of the world’s best players to sharpen their games as we close in on the Masters.

Taking place just after The PLAYERS Championship at TPC Sawgrass, this is not a Signature Event on the US circuit and the field suffers as a result.

But that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty to play for, with an $8.4million prize purse and 500 FedEx Cup points up for grabs.

And an impressive list of names have committed to competing in the Valspar, which is the final Florida-based tournament before the PGA Tour heads to Texas for the Houston Open and Valero Texas Open.

Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas and Patrick Cantlay are among the star names in this year’s field.

Taylor Moore, who edged out fellow American Adam Schenk in last year’s renewal, will hope to replicate Sam Burns’ impressive accomplishment in 2022 by defending his title at Palm Harbour.

Valspar Championship betting tips

The bunkered Bet

Justin Thomas 16/1

If JT can brush aside last week’s missed cut at TPC Sawgrass, then he’s sure to be bang there at Copperhead come Sunday evening. Putting let the American down massively last week, similar to his performance at the Genesis. Outside of that, though, Thomas’ results have shown his true ability, and with strong course form he could turn that tide here.

Please gamble responsibly.
