We all saw it. Or did we?
Chase Koepka recorded one of LIV Golf’s most memorable moments to date, when he had an ace at the 12th hole during Sunday’s final round in Adelaide.
That hole was dubbed the ‘Watering Hole’, and for good reason. When Koekpa’s ball found the cup, he was drenched in beers from the huge crowds that had descended upon the league’s first-ever party hole.

All in all, a perfect picture.
And for some, it seems, it might have been a little too perfect.

Speaking on Golf Digest’s The Loop podcast, Chris Powers had some thoughts on the authenticity of the moment.
“I’m not going to go as far as to call the [Chase] Koepka thing staged,” he explained.
“I know some people trolled, jokingly trolled about that, but something feels very off about the many videos I have seen of it.
“It was on tape delay, right? A couple big-time social media accounts, comedian Bert Kirschner was there, those guys from Country Club Adjacent were there, who seem to be literal LIV paid actors.
Was the Chase Koepka ace …. *gulp* … real?

“I don’t know, it just feels a little too perfectly crafted for me. My Spidey senses are tingling and my Spidey senses are pretty good.”
The clip of the podcast has attracted plenty of attention, with fans quick to point out that it would have actually been easier for Koepka to make a hole-in-one than to actually stage one.
This has to be a joke right

No way you just said that… Plus how can you stage a hole in one, especially with witnesses??? pic.twitter.com/T29wp9mogp
