WATCH: Richie Ramsay's near albatross

2016 07 Ramsay

So close! Richie Ramsay was just a foot away from sinking an albatross on the third hole at Castle Stuart.

After starting his third round on four-under-par – four back of overnight leader Alex Noren – the Scot made par on the first and second holes before attacking the 286-yard par-4.

An eagle was the result for Ramsay to take him to six-under-par – with others including Patrick Reed, Ricardo Gouveia and David Drysdale also making eagles on the hole.
