Tom Kim is one of the most exciting young players in the world of golf – but who is the South Korean’s caddie?
Kim has already emerged as a star on the PGA Tour and became only the second player after Tiger Woods to win two tournaments on the American circuit before the age of 21 at the 2022 Shriners Children’s Open.
Tom Kim’s caddie was Joe Skovron, who first joined him on the bag at the 2022 Presidents Cup, but that changed in late 2023.
Here’s what we know about the man looping for Kim now…

Who is Tom Kim’s caddie ?
At the start of the 2024 season, it looked like Tom Kim’s caddie would be Daniel Parratt.
Parratt, who used to carry the bag for Kim’s International Team Presidents Cup teammate K.H. Lee, began the year as Kim’s caddie.
But Tom Kim’s new caddie is the veteran Paul Tesori, who spent 12 years working with Webb Simpson, before a short stint with fellow American Cameron Young.
“I’m looking forward to what will hopefully be another long term relationship on the bag,” Tesori told Golfweek.
“Tom is obviously extremely talented but having faith as a common denominator is something that I believe will help when golf gets difficult, which it seems to always be!”
Tesori was also able to help Kim off the course, as they paired up at the 2024 Presidents Cup.
Things got heated at Royal Montreal between Kim and some US players, before Tesori’s man took aim at his rivals during a Saturday press conference.
“He came in and shared with me what he did, and this is part of what a 52-year-old veteran can share with a 22-year-old,” Tesori said as the dust settled on the incident.
“I said ‘Tom, you have every right to feel the way you did’. I wanted to react physically, and I was upset by what had happened.
“But Tom has to have thick skin. He can’t go to the media and pronounce that. You have to go talk to your captains about it, talk to your teammates about it, so it’s a learning experience for Tom.”
Previously, Kim had been enjoying a successful relationship with Skovron, who had been Rickie Fowler’s caddie for 13 years before taking on the South Korean star’s bag.
He credited Skovron for his key influence in helping him win the Shriners Children’s Open in 2022, but the experienced looper has now swapped bags to work with another talented young star – Ludvig Aberg.

Swedish sensation Aberg appointed Skovron to replace Jack Clarke as he looked for more experience on the bag ahead of his first major championship appearances.
He said the move was not due to personal reasons, but in search of a competitive edge in the game’s four marquee events.
That left Kim searching for a new caddie during an end-of-season caddie carousel.
Meanwhile, Kim switched things up for the unique par-3 contest at the 2024 Masters. With Parratt given some time off before the real business got underway, Kim had actor Ryu Jun Yeol on the bag.
The award-winning South Korean actor is said to have a close relationship with the golfer.
