Daniel Hillier claimed his first DP World Tour win at the Belfry, dominating the last four holes to seal a come-from-behind victory.

The 25-year-old from New Zealand started three shots behind a stacked group of six players at the Belfry, including England’s Oliver Wilson, Andy Sullivan and James Morrison. The players were searching for an all-important Open qualification spot, with three up for grabs.

An impressive final round of 66 from Hillier came with an incredible eagle, birdie, eagle, par finish that secured victory by two shots over American Gunner Wiebe and England’s Oliver Wilson, who also secured their spot in the Open.

The young Kiwi’s stats for the week were very solid, averaging 304 yards off the tee while hitting 51% of fairways.

But Hillier excelled around the greens. His short game kept him in contention through the tournament with four Vokey wedges in his bag. Across the week, his scrambling average was 73%, and he averaged 27 putts per round.

Combined with 68% greens in regulation and some clutch shots at the right time on the back nine, Daniel Hillier jumped ahead of the struggling leaders.

The exceptional four-hole finish and the second shot on the 17th hole to six feet, where he would make eagle, gave him the two-shot cushion going down 18 and proved to be the shot that secured his first DP World Tour win.

With a Titleist heavy bag, here is what Daniel Hillier used to seal his victory…
