St Andrews Links are offering a guaranteed tee time on the world-famous Old Course as part of their winter golf offering.

The most famous golfing land in the world, St Andrews Links is home to seven fantastic courses, meaning there’s plenty of choice for those looking to enjoy a round this winter.

Recognised as the official ‘Home of Golf’, a round on the Old Course allows you to follow in the footsteps of some of golf’s most iconic players, including Old Tom Morris, Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods.

A trip to the Old Course also allows you to experience your own little bit of history as you play the famous Road Hole. That being said, it’s imperative you avoid the infamous Road Hole bunker to give yourself a chance at escaping with a par. You’ll then be able to take your picture as you walk across the Swilcan Bridge.

The New Course is the oldest ‘new’ course in the world and was the second course built on the Links. With undulating fairways and challenging greens, it’s a classic test situated adjacent to the Old Course and proves a favourite amongst almost everybody who steps foot on it.

It boasts some fantastic holes, especially around the turn as you make your way through the dunes. The par-4 tenth is a particular standout, as you play through a narrow stretch of land between sizeable mounds covered in thick rough.

The Jubilee is the third championship course and arguably the most
challenging. It was originally built in 1897 for use by ladies and
beginners but was converted to a championship layout in 1988.

The Eden and Strathtyrum were both designed to complement the tougher championship layouts and are great fun to play.

The Castle Course, meanwhile, is the newest addition. It became the
seventh course to be opened at the ‘Home of Golf’ in 2008 and is set on a
rugged clifftop with spectacular views over St Andrews.
