Everyone loves a sporting review at the end of the year. There’s nothing better than sitting back and reminiscing about the sporting memories created over the previous 12 months and The R&A has given us just that with the broadcast of ‘The Working for Golf 2013 Film’, which will be shown on Sky Sports in the coming days.

It may not be a full review that encompasses everything that happened in the golfing world this year, but the film does include a look back at Phil Mickelson’s triumph at Muirfield. It also shows how the R&A invests the revenues generated in supporting the growth of golf around the world.

Matthew Fitzpatrick is also on hand to give an interview about his brilliant year, in which he won the Silver Medal at the Open, the US Amateur and the McCormack Medal as the leading men’s amateur player in the World Amateur Golf Ranking

A look back at some of the major rules announcements on anchoring and the use of TV evidence will prove interesting viewing too, as the new rules are outlined and explained.

Finally, the film features contributions from Padraig Harrington and Suzann Pettersen, who have been the R&A’s Working for Golf ambassadors in 2013, and a look at how the R&A has supported a project, led by European Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley, to develop golf in Ghana
