Some rare golf memorabilia, including portraits of St Andrews, golf balls, medals and books have gone up for auction to coincide with the 144th Open Championship at the Home of Golf next month.

Coordinated by Lyon & Turnbull, an international fine auctioneer with offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and London, 37 lots will be up for grabs at the Eden Club on the eve of the Open with estimated prices of up to £50,000.

The ‘Rare Golf Memorabilia’ lots can be viewed at Lyon & Turnbull’s Edinburgh office on Broughton Place on Sunday, July 12 from 12pm-4pm and Monday, July 13 from 10am-5pm.

Due to the nature of the venue, places at the evening auction – which starts at 7.30pm – must be booked an advance, while there is also the chance to see the lots at the Eden Club by appointment only from 11am-6.30pm.
