TIGER WOODS

Amid concering reports regarding his health earlier this week, Tiger Woods responded in emphatic fashion with a short clip on his Twitter account.

Woods’ agent Mark Steinberg moved quickly to refute claims surrounding his injury troubles on Monday evening and, on Wednesday, Woods brought himself firmly into the public eye, posting this video with the caption ‘Progressing nicely’.

The video corresponds with comments from Ryder Cup captain Davis Love III on Tuesday, who told BBC World News that he believes Tiger Woods can still make the US Ryder Cup team if he gets a run of events under his belt.

“If he can play 10 or 12 tournaments in a row, I think he can get his game back and make our team,” said Love. “Tiger is very adamant he can handle both roles. I think Tiger will work hard enough, if his body will allow it.

“If he keeps stopping and starting – and the injuries keep piling up – it’s going to be tough for him, but he’s very determined. We’ve seen that.”
