FootJoy launches Todd Snyder designed shoes for US PGA

FootJoy is back with another collaboration, this time teaming up with America’s leading menswear designer, Todd Snyder. 

The new Back Tees collection features a wide range of polos, sweaters, trousers and golf shoes, with the footwear taking centre stage.

This range has been put together with the input of Todd Snyder, a New York based designer who has been described as “the most influential menswear designer of his generation,” by fashion magazine GQ.

Todd Snyder and FootJoy went in with the intention to set out and create contemporary interpretations of 1960s and 1970s golf style.

Focusing on refined fabrics including pique polos, mercerised sweaters and cotton/cashmere sweatshirts, they reinterpreted these iconic athletic styles in a thoroughly modern way.

The collection features apparel in blacks, blues, olives as well as geometric and jacquard prints, with the highlight being the two new golf shoes based on FootJoy’s Wilcox and Field Premiere Series models.

The appearance of the shoe and design intention is luxury on the surface and state-of-the-art performance, this is Synder’s take on FootJoy’s elite level performance footwear. This is combined with stability, comfort and traction features, with these shoes focusing on the best in performance. 

Hand-selected, premium full grain leather from Pittards offers unparalleled looks, fit, and resistance to stretching, accented with premium patent leather that delivers an iconic, sartorial look for players with a discerning sense of style. You’ll see the shoes on the feet of FootJoy athletes this week, in Todd Snyder’s home state of New York.

The range comes with options in the Wilcox and Field option. The Wilcox features a more traditional look, with the Field (above) shoes featuring a black heel.
