It’s that time of year where we look out for new gear hitting the shelves, but there’s a new addition that you might not have been expecting. The Kirkland Signature driver.
The driver hit Costco’s website on December 14, with plenty of excitement around its release.

You probably have some questions on the club, so we’ve done our best to answer them.
Is it expensive?
Compared to other drivers on the market, absolutely not.
At just $199, it’s less than half what you might spend on one of the more recognised club brands. An absolute bargain.
What does it look like?
Well, here it is…
Nothing too out of the ordinary from this angle. You can see Kirkland’s carbon composite crown on top of the driver, with an alignment aid in the middle of the head.
Kirkland also say this driver has a titanium sole and a titanium face, which features variable face thickness. That should make this driver pretty forgiving on mishits. There’s also an adjustable hosel, which can change the 10.5° head to a 9.5°, a 10.5° draw setting or an 11.5° head.
Overall, this looks a pretty solid, no thrills driver.
Will we see it on tour?
Never say never, but it’s certainly unlikely. Kirkland golf balls, which have been pretty popular, haven’t been spotted on any professional tour.
Unless Kirkland has ambitions to throw big money at a pro to play their gear, this club is likely to be confined to the bags of amateurs.
Is there a left-handed version?
Unfortunately, not at the moment. It’s just right-handed drivers on offer from Kirkland just now. Left-handers will need to miss out.
Will we be able to buy it?
Although you might associate this with just the USA market, if it finds the Costco shelves, those in the UK will be able to get their hands on it.
Currently, however, it’s only available in the USA and online.
If you’re quick, you might be able to grab one from here.
