The start of the DP World Tour Championship has confirmed some interesting stats around equipment on the European circuit, with Titleist claiming top spot on balls, drivers, irons and wedges.
In the 2022/23 season on the DP World Tour, more players put their trust in Titleist products throughout the bag than other brand, according to Sporting Insights.
Across nearly 50 events, the brand was by far the most used ball, with an average of 72% of the field trusting a Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x, with the closest competitor coming in at 11%.
At the top end of players’ bags, Titleist drivers were the most popular, with the introduction of the TSR range proving important. 37% of players during the season gamed a Titleist driver, with the nearest competitor at 28%.
Meanwhile, the new T Series range of irons debuted at the British Masters, which helped 35% of players put their trust in Titleist irons. The closest competitor was 23%.
