Max Homa will defend his Farmers Insurance Open title against a strong field at Torrey Pines this week.
The Californian sealed his sixth career victory on home soil last year and will begin his defence on Wednesday, with the tournament unusually starting a day earlier than most PGA Tour events.
The historic Farmers Insurance Open, once called the San Diego Open, has been a mainstay on the PGA Tour and was first played at Torrey Pines in 1968.

The Ryder Cup star appears good value in an impressive field this week. He finished runner-up to Scottie Scheffler at the Hero World Challenge in November and started his 2024 season well in Hawaii with a 12th place finish at the Sentry. He finished 16th in his last appearance at this event and has the supreme ball striking capability to shine at Torrey Pines South over the weekend.
