St Andrews is the home of golf, and is a bucket list destination for every golfer on the planet.

However, it’s important to know how much it costs to play the Old Course, and how to get a tee time on the links.

While there are seven courses that come under the St Andrews Links banner, the Old Course is the most sought after, thanks to the storied history that surrounds it.

Here’s how much it costs for a round on the Old Course in 2023.

1 Nov 2022 – 31 March 2023 Low Season – £135

1 Apr 2023 – 16 April 2023 Shoulder Season – £190

17 Apr 2023 – 15 Oct 2023 High Season – £295

16 October 2023 – 31 Oct 2023 Shoulder Season – £210

There are several different ways you can gain a tee time on the Old Course.

The most common method is the 48 hour ballot, which allows players to enter a lottery for a tee time two days in advance of play. You can enter the ballot for the Old Course here.

There is also the option for golfers to queue up on the morning of play and be paired up with existing groups of two or three players. There is no guarantee of success through this method, but is still popular, with players often queuing through the night to get a tee time.
