Players who didn’t make the field for the PGA Championship will have had a week off to prepare for the next stop on the DP World Tour.

Victor Perez will defend his KLM Open title alongside native tournament ambassador Joost Luiten in Holland.

All four Dutch players on the DP World Tour will be on hand to compete, with Ryder Cup hopeful Adrian Meronk and the Højgaard twins, Nicolai and Rasmus, also in the field after a major stint.

There is also a further major incentive on offer, as the event will once again act as a qualifier for next month’s US Open.

After a disappointing effort on home soil at the Italian Open, Migliozzi will be desperate to return to form and try to play his way into Luke Donald’s Ryder Cup plans. Bernardus provides a proper links golf test, and while Migliozzi has posted good efforts on similar setups, the 26-year-old was a shot behind last year’s winner, Victor Perez, before a three-over-par 75 on Sunday ruined his chances.
