The seismic signing of Jon Rahm has shown its first signs of bearing fruit for LIV Golf bosses.
Rahm is ready to make his debut on the Saudi-funded circuit at LIV’s season-opener this week at Mayakoba, with plenty of questions still unanswered about the Masters champion’s new team for the 2024 campaign.
The Spaniard is yet to confirm the name of his new 13th side, or his new teammates ahead of the 14-event season that will get under way at El Camaleon Golf Club in Mexico.
However, the draw of Rahm appears to have helped LIV in its bid to reach new audiences for the new season.

That’s because the Greg Norman-fronted league has now agreed a deal with Spanish subscription giants Movistar Plus+ to show all its events through the entire 2024 and 2025 seasons.
Spanish golf fans will now be able to watch the likes of Rahm and Sergio Garcia via the television streaming platform, as well as on Youtube and the LIV Golf Plus app.
Movistar Plus+ will add the LIV series to its existing golf content which includes two dedicated channels showing the Ryder Cup, the four men’s majors, PGA Tour, DP World Tour, the Solheim Cup and five women’s majors.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Movistar Plus+, the premiere streaming platform in Spain,” said LIV Golf Chief Media Officer Will Staeger.

“LIV Golf’s goal from the beginning has been to introduce golf to new audiences around the world. Our team has worked diligently to expand streaming and traditional viewing options, through partnerships with platforms like Movistar Plus+.
“Over the next few weeks, we will be rolling out more than a dozen new or expanded distribution partnerships, as well as innovative plans for Friday coverage, to continue building off the momentum from our first two seasons.”
LIV Golf’s new 14-event season will take place across eight countries and include a return to Valderrama, arguably Spain’s most storied course, the week before The Open Championship in July.
