The end of LIV Golf’s 2023 regular season means the inaugural Promotions Event is upon us.
The Saudi-backed league confirmed its first ever quartet of relegated players, and three of the four will join the hunt for a 2024 spot.
Chase Koepka, who played for Smash GC last season, has withdrawn from the event.
In LIV’s first move towards being a merit-based circuit, a Promotions Event was introduced to offer a pathway towards the lucrative league.
It will award three places in the enterprise and a major champion, former Ryder Cup and Walker Cup players, PGA Tour and DP World Tour winners and former LIV golfers are all set to battle it out.
Over 72 holes, players from all over the world will compete for the $1.5 million prize purse, with the winner taking home $200,000.
And the iconic Abu Dhabi Golf Club in the United Arab Emirates is hosting the event, sealing the fate of an array of LIV Golf hopefuls.
International Series Order of Merit winner Andy Ogletree has wrapped up the fourth promotion spot already for 2024. So, who will join him?
