LIV Golf’s second event of 2023 gets underway this Friday in Tucson, Arizona.

The Gallery Golf Club will play host to the Saudi-backed golf league’s second event of 2023, after Charles Howell III won the opener in Mayakoba.

It’s desert golf this week. If you can think back to the 2007 and 2008 WGC Match Play events, you’ll remember this venue, the South Course was the host for the WGC for two years. Missed fairways here will have players negotiating cacti, not where you want to be.

The teams will be competing in the usual LIV Golf League format, where 48 players will play in a shotgun start over 54 holes. There’s also the team format to consider, with 12 teams looking to pick up a pretty handy pay-out.

Here’s all the details for the week ahead.

The bunkered Bet
