The DP World Tour is off to the Swiss Alps for one of the most stunning setups on the circuit, but that’s not the motivation for many of the top players.
As the Ryder Cup looms, the Omega European Masters is the last chance for players to stake their case to Luke Donald.
The Team Europe captain has the unenviable task of selecting his six wildcard picks for the biennial clash, so several big names will be out to impress.
One automatic qualification spot is still up for grabs, so the competition is set to be fierce in Switzerland, and it could be a life-changing week for one rookie.
South African Thriston Lawrence will defend his crown, but just as eager to win will be the likes of Robert MacIntyre, Yannik Paul, Adrian Meronk, and the Hojgaard twins.
With so much on the line, here are all the details…

The bunkered bet
Yannik Paul 40/1
On such a short course with small, tight greens, Crans requires accuracy around the greens. There aren’t too many better on approach and scrambling than Yannik Paul, who has been a model of consistency on the DP World Tour this season.
The German would steal Bob MacIntyre’s automatic Ryder Cup qualifying spot with a win, and is poised to do so after a top ten finish in Prague last week. Paul skipped Northern Ireland the week before and arrives in the Alps fresh.
