PGA Tour caddies join underwear brand in first-of-its-kind deal

Well, this isn’t something you see every day.  

Premium underwear brand, SAXX, today announced that they have sponsored four PGA Tour caddies, ensuring they have a variety of “ball-supporting and body-cooling styles” available to them on and off the course. 

The deal, which is, perhaps unsurprisingly, the first-of-its-kind in the golf world, will also see the four caddies treated to a “caddie house” during this year’s US Open.

Joel Stock (Will Zalatoris), John Limanti (Keith Mitchell), Aaron Flener (J.T Poston) and Geno Bonnalie (Joel Dahmen) will all wear what Saxx say is “life-changing” underwear, thanks to what they call their “BallPark Pouch.”  

“There are obviously fun synergies at play with this partnership, but my favourite aspect is that we’re able to recognise professional caddies for the vital role they play on the course,” said Wendy Bennison, Chief Executive Officer, SAXX.  

“It’s exciting to know that our underwear will be worn by some of the best at their craft in the biggest moments of the golf season.” 

Along with the release, there’s also a YouTube video which, as you would expect, is full of balls puns.

There is a serious side to the partnership, however. For every birdie made by the caddies’ players, Saxx will donate $100 to the Testicular Cancer Foundation, up to $10,000

Geno Bonnalie, caddie for Joel Dahmen, who became something of a sensation thanks to his appearance on the Netflix docu-series Full Swing, said:  

“I’m fired up to be working with SAXX.  

“Not only did they level up my underwear game, but they’re supporting a cause that’s close to home for many people, including myself. Here we go, Joel… birdies for balls!”
