Robert MacIntyre will play in his first ever Ryder Cup after securing the final qualifying spot on the European Points List.
Scotland’s MacIntyre and Matt Fitzpatrick claimed the final automatic berths in Luke Donald’s side after the Omega European Masters in Switzerland.
Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, Viktor Hovland and Tyrrell Hatton are the other automatic qualifiers for the showdown against Team USA Rome at the end of the month.

It was a nervy weekend for MacIntyre after making the cut on the number in the final qualifying event at Crans-sur-Sierre.
The 27-year-old finished in a tie for 55th on three-under-par in the Swiss mountains, but his challengers Yannik Paul and Adrian Meronk both failed to finish inside the top three, which confirmed MacIntyre’s place.
And now he will tee it up at Marco Simone, the venue where he won the Italian Open in 2022.
MacIntyre is only the second left-handed European in history to play in the Ryder Cup after Englishman Peter Dawson.
He made huge ground in the European Points List standings with his incredible run to finish second behind McIlroy at the Genesis Scottish Open in July.

And his T4 finish at last week’s Czech Masters in Prague proved crucial in completing his dream to make the European Ryder Cup team.
MacIntyre has avoided relying on one of Donald’s six captain’s picks, which will be announced on Monday.
Justin Rose, Shane Lowry and Tommy Fleetwood are all expected to be named as wildcards by Donald.
Meronk, Nicolai Hojgaard, Sepp Straka and the young Swedish sensation Ludvig Aberg are among those outside the qualifying positions hoping for a call from Donald.
