Rocket Mortgage Classic prize money payout in full

Rickie Fowler returned to the PGA Tour winner’s circle for the first time in four years with a memorable triumph at the Rocket Mortgage Classic.

Fowler looked destined to fall just short heading to 18 after failing to make a birdie on the back nine during a tense final round at Detroit Golf Club.

But the American found a moment of inspiration on his 72nd hole to card a sensational closing birdie and join Collin Morikawa and Adam Hadwin in a three-man playoff.

He was third favourite after an errant tee shot back on the 18th, the opening playoff hole, but played a sublime second shot from the rough and nailed his 12ft birdie putt to secure an epic victory.

It was Fowler’s first win since the 2019 Waste Management Phoenix Open 1,610 days ago and he is now looking increasingly likely to be part of Zach Johnson’s US Ryder Cup team in Rome.
