The DP World Tour makes its return to South Africa this week for the second ever SDC Championship.

The Jack Nicklaus-designed St.Francis Links in Eastern Cape will host the showpiece, which is co-sanctioned with South Africa’s Sunshine Tour.

Englishman Matthew Baldwin won the inaugural event last year, cruising to his maiden title with a seven-shot victory over Spaniard Adri Arnaus.

The field at the SDC Championship is assembled from both the DP World Tour and Sunshine Tour, with a host of talented young South Africans offered the chance to impress on a big stage.

And the entry list at this week’s tournament includes tour winners Ewen Ferguson, Jordan Smith, Joost Luiten and Ross Fisher.

Scotland’s Ferguson finished third in this tournament last year, so will fancy his chances of adding to his two DP World Tour wins.
