The DP World Tour is in Europe for the second consecutive week as the players head to Belgium for the Soudal Open.
Last week’s Italian Open, won by Adrian Meronk, was the first trip for the tour to Europe and was an important one as it was over this year’s Ryder Cup venue.
This week is a very different test from Marco Simone. The Ryder Cup course demands players hit driver a lot, but this week you’re likely to see a lot of irons off tees.

As Grant Forrest told bunkered earlier this year, the golf course is so firm and tight, he replaced his 3-wood with a 1-iron, but even that was going too far, so he resorted to using a 4-iron from several tees.
Last year’s winner was Sam Horsefield who got to a total of 13-under-par, but the LIV Golf player won’t be defending his title. Close behind him was Ryan Fox and Yannik Paul, and the German will be hoping to strengthen his Ryder Cup credentials this week.
Also, look out for Lev Grinberg, a 15-year-old amateur who hails from Ukraine, who was the low amateur at this event last year.
This is the second time Soudal has sponsored the event, but the Belgian Open, which it replaces, has a long history, including two years as the Belgian Knockout.
Here’s the full Soudal Open preview.

Adrian Otaegui
Keeping it in the short stuff off the tee this week looks to be the key to success and Otaegui is ranked eighth in driving accuracy this year. The four time winner on the DP World Tour took a month off before a finish of tied 40th last week in Italy. This week, however, should suit him better.
