Augusta National Golf Club has announced the prize money on offer at this week’s Masters Tournament – and it’s eye-popping!

A total of $18million will be divided between the field.

That’s a 20% increase on the $15million dished out last year and double what was on offer just eight years ago.

The top-three finishers will all pocket a seven-figure sum, with the eventual winner taking home $3.24million.

That’s over half a million more than Scottie Scheffler earned with his victory in 2022.

The bounty available at Augusta National this week sees The Masters set a new record for prize money amongst the major championships.

Last year’s US Open paid out $17.5m, with the US PGA and The 150th Open putting up $15m and $14m respectively.
