The USA’s men’s football team (soccer if you dare) were in Jacksonville Florida yesterday ahead of their World Cup warm-up match with Nigeria. Amidst the pre-tournament preparation the team took time out to visit TPC Sawgrass.

The group made stops at the Champions Locker Room and took a few swings at the famous island 17th green, with midfielder Michael Bradley getting closest to the hole.

The US football team’s World Cup campaign kicks off on June 16 at 11pm against Ghana. They then face Portugal, before taking on Germany in the final group match.

The team’s players seemed to enjoy the visit to the site of the Players Championship, posting pictures on social media as they went.
