We all know about some of Tiger Woods’ most famous victories, but where did he win his very first pro event?
For that, we have to go back to 1996 and the Las Vegas Invitational at the Las Vegas Hilton Country Club.
That event is now known as the Shriners Children’s Open.
The win also marks the worst first round position of Tiger in any of his 82 PGA Tour wins, as he was placed in a tie for 97th place after 18-holes.
This was the very first pro victory from Tiger Woods, which was the start to one of the greatest careers in the sport of all time.
Woods won the event in a playoff over Davis Love III, in a tournament that was five rounds long. The 15-time major champion was 27-under-par for the five regulation rounds, before a par on the first playoff hole secured his win.

The following year, Tiger would go on to win his first major championship, the Masters, by 12 shots, his first appearance in a major championship as a professional.
