The Ryder Cup is one of the biggest events in golf, and it’s held at some of the world’s best-known courses.
With such a large-scale event, venues need to be decided several years in advance. For that reason, we know where the next few editions of the biennial transatlantic clash will be held.
In 2023, the Ryder Cup will be held at Marco Simone Golf and Country Club in Rome, the capital of Italy. It will mark the first time the event has been held on Italian soil and just the third time it has been hosted by continental Europe.

It is no stranger to top-level golf and is the host venue of the Italian Open, which was won in 2022 by Robert MacIntyre, one of those looking to force his way into the European team in time for September’s showdown.
Two years later, the cup will visit Bethpage Black. It’s another venue oozing golf heritage and has hosted three major championships: the US Open in 2002 and 2009 and the 2019 PGA Championship.
One of the most notorious courses around, it is well-known for the sign at the first tee which reads: “The Black course is an extremely difficult course which we recommend only for highly skilled golfers.” It is also notable for being the first non-private golf course to host the US Open and is frequently ranked among America’s top public tracks.
In 2027, the tournament will return to Ireland for the first time since 2006 when it travels to Adare Manor, while two years later it will visit Hazeltine, which was the venue in 2016 when the US reclaimed the Ryder Cup after eight years.

No venue has yet been set for 2031, although the London Club and the new Hulton Park development in Bolton are thought to be in the running. 2033 will see the US host the tournament on the Lake Course at the Olympic Golf Club in San Francisco.
A venue for 2035 has also yet to be decided, but four-time venue and British Masters host the Belfry has launched a bid to be considered once more.
