The 123rd US Open will take place in 2023 – and it will be held at LA Country Club.
Next year’s event will be held from June 15-18.
It marks the first time the United States’ national open has been hosted by the exclusive Los Angeles venue.
However, high-profile golf events have been staged there in the past. It previously hosted the LA Open in the first half of the 20th century.

The US Women’s Amateur and Junior Amateur have also visited the club, which was founded in 1897.
It was also the venue for the 2017 Walker Cup, which featured the likes of Scottie Scheffler, Collin Morikawa, Will Zalatoris and Robert MacIntyre, who have all gone on to enjoy huge success in the professional game.
The US Open will be held on the North course, which was extensively renovated in 2010 by Gil Hanse and Geoff Shackelford, reversing changes made in 1996 and 1997, returning it to George C. Thomas’ design from 1921.
The USGA has already announced LA Country Club will host the US Open again in 2039.
“We could not be more excited to bring the US Open again to The Los Angeles Country Club and extend our relationship with the club that dates back more than 90 years,” said John Bodenhamer, USGA chief championships officer.
“This is a tremendous sports town, an enthusiastic golf community and home to a great venue for championship golf. We’re very much looking forward to next year’s US Open and thrilled to be returning in the future.”
At the 122nd US Open at The Country Club in Brookline, Matt Fitzpatrick won his first major title. He did so at the same course where he won the US Amateur nine years previously.
