For those of you who have had the pleasure of playing Ben Hogan irons – this is the news you’ve been waiting for!

The iconic brand is set to make a comeback after being bought out by Las Vegas-based Golf Brands Inc.

Ben Hogan, which was founded in 1953, will return to the market in 2024 with a new range of irons having receiving funding from its new owners – the company that also resurrected MacGregor in the USA, and Ram and Zebra worldwide.

Simon Millington, CEO of Golf Brands, said: “When we found that Ben Hogan had become available, we knew we had to add it to our portfolio and we contacted Perry Ellis immediately to see what we could do together.”

He added: “We are starting with this massive brand equity. It’s been chipped away a bit over the years but there are people out there who respect the brand and the quality it stood for.

“First and foremost, we have to get the product right. That’s the thing that drives us. Quality and performance are what matters and then it’s about elevating the brand. But to do that we’ve got to get the product right.

“We’re getting into a busy market, but our products are absolutely as good as anything out there and, ultimately, we have to prove that and get that message across to the consumer. We want people to be wowed when they receive their products. That’s the respect we want to earn.

Where can you buy Ben Hogan irons?

The new range is set to be split into two sub-brands. Firstly, the Ben Hogan Signature range will be sold on the website, and will allow golfers to have sets fitted to their specs.

In addition to that, there will be the Hogan range, which will feature commercial grade clubs, sold through leading distributors around the world, so there will be an option of Ben Hogan irons for everyone.
