Galvin Green DRYVR review

Galvin Green is one of the go-to brands when it comes to waterproofs. We see them in pro shops and retailers across the globe and the new Galvin Green DRYVR collection is coming in with 21 jacket options.

The First Look

As always, Galvin Green waterproofs look incredibly smart and there are no surprises with this range, as we would expect from Galvin Green. With 21 jackets and 50 colours to choose from, you’re spoilt for choice. The new men’s DRYVR Gore-Tex jacket Amos leads the charge in the latest collection along with the Ally jacket in women’s and the Remi jacket for juniors.

The Tech

The Galvin Green DRYVR collection is keeping up with the latest fashion trends, as we have a hooded jacket in the Amos. The new Amos is a Gore-Tex C-knit stretch fabric with slide and glide technology. It’s 100% waterproof and windproof with a fitted hood with an elasticated drawstring so it’s comfortable in fit. Its shaped sleeves deliver complete freedom of movement during the swing. It’s the kind of thing you can wear out and about when you’re going through the day. There are plenty other options in this range from Gore-Tex Pac-Lite jackets, waterproof jackets, vests, sweaters and shirts with a variety of colours options to choose from. Moving on to the women’s range, we have the Ally Jacket. This has been a very popular jacket in Gore-Tex Paclite Stretch fabric. It now comes in a white/cool grey option which definitely catches the eye. It features shaped sleeves and adjustable cuffs that will allow you to swing freely so you don’t feel restricted. The women’s range also features a number of water-resistant and windproof jackets, sweaters, leggings, shirts and skorts to make up a number of outfits whatever the weather.
If you’re looking to get the kids out on the course battling the elements, the new Remi full-zip jacket and Ronie vest is a great place to start. Both are made from Interface-1 fabric offering a top-level warming effect, and they’re both resistant to wind and rain. “The depth of the new Galvin Green DRYVR collection is unrivalled in offering serious players the biggest choice of waterproofs on the market in an unmatched array of styles, colour choices and sizes,” -CEO Nicholai Stein

The bunkered Verdict

The new Galvin Green DRYVR line is brilliant. You have so many great looks to choose from across the whole range. The Gore-Tex jackets in the Amos with the C-Knit fabric and the Ally in the Gore-Tex Paclite stretch are clear standouts in this new range for men and women. Not only will you look great and be comfortable the whole way round, but you will be protected from the elements. With so many lighter-weight options to choose from across the board, you have something for whatever the weather throws at you.
