The TaylorMade BRNR Mini Driver is versatility in a nutshell.

The BRNR Mini Driver from TaylorMade is the most versatile driver I’ve tested this year. If you struggle with today’s 460cc driver heads and prefer something smaller or you’re looking for a stronger lofted option to replace your 3-wood, this does it all.

TaylorMade BRNR Mini Driver Review

The Mini Driver range was created to pay homage to iconic TaylorMade drivers from the past. The BRNR Mini is a modern take on the Ti 2 Bubble which was hugely popular in the late 90’s. The colouring around the head and shaft, the reimagined K-Sole, the original TaylorMade logos, it looks superb.

The head shape is 304cc which is a lot smaller in comparison to the Stealth 2 which is 460cc. To me this looks like an oversized 3-wood.

You also have today’s tech added into it like the speed pocket, the twist tech and two adjustable weights on the sole.

Off the tee off the fairway, adjust the loft, move the 13g weight forward and 1.5g for low spin and explosive ball speeds, move the 13g weight back and 1.5g weight forward for more forgiveness, distance and versatility.

The sound off the face is explosive and crisp especially in the heavy forward weight setting. In this setting, the ball jumps off the club.

Distance and dispersion are brilliant with the heavy weight at the back delivering more forgiveness. The heavy forward setting produces max distance and speed whilst keeping dispersion tight.

What adds to its versatility is the fact that it fits into golfers of all levels. Tommy Fleetwood and Eddie Pepperell are gaming this on tour but it’s very forgiving and appealing to the higher handicappers who prefer a smaller head.

The options are endless with this club. It’s perfect for elite level players and a superb offering for mid-to-higher handicappers who struggle with the driver.

TaylorMade have made a versatile multitool in the BRNR Mini driver. I’m a big fan.
