His rise to the top of golf was meteoric, but what clubs does he use? Here’s the full Scottie Scheffler WITB rundown.

The American went from relative unknown to Masters champion in just a few years. So let’s see what equipment helped him reach the summit of the world rankings.

What’s in Scottie Scheffler’s bag?

Scottie Scheffler is a TaylorMade staff player, and has been with the brand since the start of 2022. Shortly after signing with them, he went onto win the Masters, his first major championship win.

At the start of 2024, TaylorMade announced that Scheffler had signed a “multi-year contract extension,” ahead of the Sentry, the opening event of the PGA Tour season.

“My relationship with TaylorMade goes well beyond just the equipment,” Scheffler said in the announcement. “I’ve been able to build trustworthy connections with their team knowing that they are always doing what is best for me to accomplish my goals of winning on the PGA Tour.

“TaylorMade equipment has always been the industry standard in my eyes and I couldn’t be happier to continue this great partnership.”

At the Hero World Challenge at the end of the 2023 season, Scheffler was spotted with two new additions to the bag, in an event he won.

Firstly, the Texan was using the TaylorMade Qi10 LS driver, a club that Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods have also been playing at the end of the year – but he only used it for the first round before switching back to the Stealth 2 Plus he had used all year. So watch this space on that one!

Since signing with TaylorMade, Scheffler has used their gear in his metals and irons, but has experimented with different wedges and putters.

Notably, Scheffler used a Nike VR Pro fairway wood, a club that he gamed for around ten years. He replaced that with a TaylorMade Stealth, which has since been replaced by a TaylorMade Stealth 2 fairway wood.

Another interesting part of Scheffler’s bag comes in his driving irons, where he has two Srixon Z U85 utility irons in his set-up.

What is Scottie Scheffler’s new putter?

The most unexpected part of Scheffler’s bag comes at the other end, with the putter. Despite his incredible 2023, Scheffler visibly struggled on the greens. At the Hero World Challenge, which he won, he was using a flatstick made by Olson, a small but bespoke putter manufacturer, with Scheffler the first big name player to use one of their clubs.

But his putting woes continued into 2024, and the World No. 1 was spotted once again testing a familiar flatstick ahead of the Arnold Palmer Invitational. It’s a TaylorMade Spider Tour X putter, a shape which made an appearance in his bag at the tail-end of last year.

Right now, it seems to be working, too! Scheffler has collected back-to-back wins with the TaylorMade Spider, with victories at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the PLAYERS Championship. Putting woes? What putting woes?
