Titleist TruFeel golf balls review

If you’re after a softer golf ball, and the new Tour Soft range is out of your budget, then Titleist’s 2024 upgrade to its TruFeel range might be right up your street.

The First Look

It’s a Titleist golf ball – what more do you need to know? Everything from the logo to the box on the shelf is instantly recognisable. The brand has also kept the yellow and matte red options for those that like a bit of colour in their life.

The Tech

Titleist says the next generation of TruFeel is designed to provide long distance and increased greenside spin and control – with an ultra-soft feel on every shot – through advanced core and cover technologies.

These include the new TruTouch core, “which combines long distance and fast ball speeds with a very soft feel off the club face”, and a softer 3.0 TruFlex cover “delivers increased greenside spin for more short-game control”, while the TruFit aerodynamics “give golfers a penetrating, low ball flight and long distance from a unique, spherically-tiled, 376-tetrahedral dimple design”.

“With new TruFeel, our goal was to keep what people love about the product and deliver even more performance in the short game. That softer, thicker cover is going to give golfers a little more greenside spin and performance. The reformulated core gives players long distance and soft feel. And with TruFeel being a Titleist product, it gets the same focus and attention from a manufacturing standpoint as every other ball in our line-up. TruFeel enjoys a loyal following because of its quality, consistency and continuous improvement.”

– Mike Madson (VP, Titleist golf ball R&D)

The bunkered Verdict

We’re yet to take these out on the golf course, but it’s a Titleist golf ball, so we already know it’s going to deliver on its promises. Stay tuned for more!

“TruFeel has always been a very soft and very long golf ball, and those are important performance attributes to the TruFeel player. With the newest generation of TruFeel, golfers are going to find an even better performing golf ball that maintains its feel and profile along with the ball-to-ball quality and consistency expected from every Titleist model.”

– Jeremy Stone (VP, Titleist golf ball marketing)
